Meet Baby R.  He’s a handsome little guy with a couple of cool parents.  They were SO much fun when they were viewing and choosing their images.  I think mom and dad were pleasantly surprised that we got so many wonderful images, as Baby R. wasn’t quite in the mood for pictures on the day I was there photographing.  What’s great is that one of the shots that we all fell in love with was an unplanned shot with this adorable squishy pouty face (the black and white one below).  We were originally trying for the peaceful sleeping shot in the same position, but each time we tried, he would have nothing of the sort, and immediately got pouty.  I love when I get an even more amazing image than the one I planned on.  Such a cute baby!!!!

It was such a pretty day when we photographed this little newborn, so we were able to do some shots inside and some outside.  The family was so appreciative and accommodating in their home–truly a sweet family.  I was so excited to show them the images that we got.  Also, her sister was such a good sport through the entire session.  We even got some shots of her alone, enjoying a flower.

This newborn little boy is so lucky.  His parents are just so enamored with him, as are his grandparents.  I had such a lovely time photographing baby J.  He’s just beautiful and such a sweetheart!  Mom and dad just moved into their new house, after spending some time decorating it, so I just couldn’t help photographing the family in their gorgeous breakfast nook.  Can you imagine the good times and lovely breakfasts that are going to take place in there?  And I’m really excited that some of these are going to hang big in their home.  What’s better than personal wall art?

ETA: I completely forgot to mention his cute little mohawk.  Doesn’t he have the cutest hair?

I’ve been meaning to do some large posts with samples of the many Janie & Jack clothing store mini sessions I did, but I haven’t put those posts together yet.  I decided, though, just to do a few at a time in the mean time.  So here are some images of an adorable baby girl.  Seriously, LOOK at those cheeks!  In the second one, she even posed as a ballerina for me.

Desiree Hayes: Such a cutie! So pretty!

This family was so welcoming to me in their beautiful home.   On the day of our session, Baby R’s tummy was hurting, and we were still able to get her sleeping nicely for many lovely shots.  It was so nice photographing their family along with their newest addition.  Now don’t forget to notice how beautiful and at peace mom looks with Baby R all snuggled up to her.

From the moment we cradle our children in our arms for the first time, we take photographs of them. When they are first born, their itsy bitsy noses, tiny toes, and curled lips fascinate us. It’s almost instinctual to try to preserve the moments of their childhood through pictures. In what seems like a blink of an eye, these little newborns become chubby babies, then running toddlers, and then go off to school. Those photographs become some of the most treasured items that your children will take with them throughout their lives, creating a value to them that is priceless. The snapshots that your family take will be so important for preserving your legacy and your memories. And then there are the images of your family that you DREAM of, that you may not be able to get on your own. What are those? That is what I am driven to capture for you! It brings me immense joy to be able to take the professional talent and skills I’ve been honing for many years, and apply them to helping families preserve these special moments in ways that they often have trouble doing themselves.

Thank you for reading this. It feels so good to have put that all down on paper, as it feels VERY authentic to me.
