It wasn’t that long ago that I did J’s maternity images when her little boy was in her tummy.  And she’s now just weeks away from having another newborn baby.  This time we did outdoor shots, and the colors were just lovely.  As usual, they were just great to work with.

Emily Southerland: What a cute mama!! Congrats to her, and nice job to you!

Danielle Frank: Very nice! I love the one of mama and baby!

Jen Gasper: The colors are beautiful. Kind of makes me miss that time in my life. I love the image of the little girl with mom. I so remember the nice little shelf that I carried my boys around on when they were about the same age! Brings back memories. It is nice when a photo can evoke so much emotion!

Deirdre Dunham: Wonderful color in 1 - and what a pretty, glowing mama!

Tori Piercy: I just adore her belly button! Beautiful family and stunning mama to be!

Dawn Kitley: Great shots, Susan! You've really captured their love.

Desiree Hayes: Beautiful!!

This family was SUCH a pleasure to photograph!  The parents recently had their 40th anniversary, and their son wanted to give them a gift of family photographs including him and his new wife.  What a great idea. Aren’t they a beautiful family?  And the colors go so well with their beauty and happiness. Glorious, I say.  At the end, as I was taking some pictures of J and his wife, we looked over at his parents with my reflector and scrim with the sun shining through, and I just couldn’t resist getting some spontaneous silhouette photos of them with them.  What fun!   Here’s to 40th anniversaries, and to many more.

Jenica: oh these are so fun!!! GORGEOUS images!!!!

This newborn little boy is so lucky.  His parents are just so enamored with him, as are his grandparents.  I had such a lovely time photographing baby J.  He’s just beautiful and such a sweetheart!  Mom and dad just moved into their new house, after spending some time decorating it, so I just couldn’t help photographing the family in their gorgeous breakfast nook.  Can you imagine the good times and lovely breakfasts that are going to take place in there?  And I’m really excited that some of these are going to hang big in their home.  What’s better than personal wall art?

ETA: I completely forgot to mention his cute little mohawk.  Doesn’t he have the cutest hair?

I feel like I’ve been ignoring this blog, but it’s not for lack of things to write about.  Lots has been happening, and I’m looking forward to blogging about these things.  One thing that’s been keeping me quite busy is three straight days of shooting from morning until night at a Janie & Jack kids clothing store.  I photographed oodles of adorable children, and I’m looking forward to sharing some images from those sessions soon.  Check back soon!

Continuing my blogging on your family holiday photo shoots.  This is another special family to me.  Little Ms. O has so much personality as you can see here.  Her brother was a little more coy the day of our photo shoot, but we still got some fun pictures of him as well.

Julie: What a cute family! I am partial to freckles myself (having always wanted some!). Great images!

I recently did a wonderful fundraiser for our school with another photographer.  There are so many wonderful images from that event, some of which I’ll be sharing soon. I wanted to share this one today, as the connection between these two little girls was so very intense, fun an real!  They REALLY seemed to care about each other in a way that made my heart sing.  Oh, sibling love!

Fun Family with Twins

October 27, 2009

This is one of my favorite families to photograph.  Mom is such a sweetheart–always so friendly and cheerful.  Well her twins are now one, and I had the chance to photograph them with their family. It’s been since they were newborns since I last photographed them.  And let’s not forget about big sister.  She really loves her baby sister and brother.

Lina: Oh, those are absolutely great. Seems like everyone was having a great time!

Jennifer Boggett: Beautiful! I love the family photo - it looks so real and relaxed. Great work.

Tiona Fuller: This looks like it was a fun session! Such beautiful and spirited images!!

Angela Crutcher: These are so sweet! You did a fabulous job at capturing happiness and love in this family!

This event was near and dear to my heart, and I’m so glad that my Sister In-Law asked me to be the photographer.  It was my Niece’s Bat Mitzva.  I can’t believe how much she has grown both in beauty, intellegence and spirituality.  She’s no longer my BABY niece.  How fast time goes by!
