Meet Baby R.  He’s a handsome little guy with a couple of cool parents.  They were SO much fun when they were viewing and choosing their images.  I think mom and dad were pleasantly surprised that we got so many wonderful images, as Baby R. wasn’t quite in the mood for pictures on the day I was there photographing.  What’s great is that one of the shots that we all fell in love with was an unplanned shot with this adorable squishy pouty face (the black and white one below).  We were originally trying for the peaceful sleeping shot in the same position, but each time we tried, he would have nothing of the sort, and immediately got pouty.  I love when I get an even more amazing image than the one I planned on.  Such a cute baby!!!!

I was just thinking about this shot today, as it’s one I’ve been meaning to show.  It’s one I took at Janie & Jack a few months ago, but I remember just loving the tender look dad was giving his baby.  And this newborn looks so comfy in dad’s arms.

This newborn little boy is so lucky.  His parents are just so enamored with him, as are his grandparents.  I had such a lovely time photographing baby J.  He’s just beautiful and such a sweetheart!  Mom and dad just moved into their new house, after spending some time decorating it, so I just couldn’t help photographing the family in their gorgeous breakfast nook.  Can you imagine the good times and lovely breakfasts that are going to take place in there?  And I’m really excited that some of these are going to hang big in their home.  What’s better than personal wall art?

ETA: I completely forgot to mention his cute little mohawk.  Doesn’t he have the cutest hair?

This family was so welcoming to me in their beautiful home.   On the day of our session, Baby R’s tummy was hurting, and we were still able to get her sleeping nicely for many lovely shots.  It was so nice photographing their family along with their newest addition.  Now don’t forget to notice how beautiful and at peace mom looks with Baby R all snuggled up to her.

Erin Bell: Can I just say how beautiful the second image is? Beautiful!

Overdue, this little guy just wanted to stay in his mommy’s tummy as long as he could.  Who could blame him, right?  Weighing in at over 10 lbs and measuring over 22 inches at birth, he’s a big boy!  He was such a delight, though, throughout our photo session.  He hardly fussed at all, and was quite cooperative.  Ahhh, I just love photographing newborn babies!!!!  By the way, this little guy is 7 days old in these pictures.  The younger the better for newborn portraits.

Ahhhh, the serenity of a rock garden and a sleeping baby.  What a match made in heaven.  This family was just so sweet the entire time I was there photographing baby C.  Our session took place at grandma and grandpa’s house, and the outdoor area could not have been prettier.  The little rock garden was just amazing, with so many yummy details.  What great gardening taste.  So here are a few pictures from this special newborn session.  There’s even one of big brother as I snuck off while mom was feeding baby.  He made it so much fun to photograph him.  I’m a little late putting up this blog entry, as I mentioned a little while ago to mom that I might do a blog post with images from our photo session.
